Business is a Spiritual Game

When I first started chiropractic care, early on in opening my practice, someone said to me, “chiropractic practice is the ultimate mirror”. They meant that all the issues you see in your practice, all the obstacles you face are the ultimate mirror, the exact path towards growth and improvement, personally and professionally.

The longer I practice, the more I can see the truth of that statement. Business is a spiritual game. Growth and business often sit parallel in life. Change in your business can often parallel spiritual growth, too. At every turning point of our practice, we learn something new; we increase our spiritual understanding of our work.

When you focus on your growth and the growth of your team and give back to your community, the success you receive as a result will be satisfactory to what you want to achieve. Your personal growth matched with your team’s growth will fuel your practice’s growth. This sudden holistic growth throughout your life and business might even seem like a magic solution you didn’t know you were capable of achieving. Investing in yourself, in your development and satisfaction, in your team’s success and progress will aid your overall spiritual wellbeing.

As humans and chiropractors, I categorize our energy into three states: poor, neutral, and rich. If you’re energy-poor, your practice will be energy-poor. If you’re energy neutral, your business will remain precisely that - neutral. If you’re energy-rich, your practice will soar, progress, and reap the rewards of your rich energy and drive.

It’s impossible to remain in one particular state at all times. We all shift - it’s part of being human. The bigger question is, how often do you shift states? Ask yourself, are there ways that I can live a more energy-rich life? If I mark my energy out of 10, where would I stand? Is there a way to take that 5 to a 9.5?

What do I need to achieve for this to happen?

  • Is it sleep?
  • Is it motivation?
  • Is it tangible results?
  • Is it self-care?
  • Is it family time?

Finding that answer is your key to success.
Spirituality and business are all about love and connection. If you enjoy the journey, your client will, too. If you are energy-rich, your team will be, too. To grow your business successfully, you need to develop yourself successfully. To invest in your business, you must invest in yourself.

To nourish your team, you must nourish yourself. It is all connected. It is all spiritual. It is up to you to shift states when needed.
